This liftchair has a real problem with the footrest. It does not fit tall people and no extender is available. My feet hang down and fluid builds up in my feet and ankles. This was one of the reasons I bought this chair-TO AVOID THIS. Also when the back is reclined there is no lumbar support. I must say that, in general, this is a very uncomfortable chair. Also, when elevating, the chair, it basically just pushes you out frontwards and you start to slide. It should raise you up slightly and then forward to avoid that feeling of being "thrown out". I don't think anyone of the size that needs this chair had any input in it's design or development. I am unfortunately very disappointed in the performance and comfort of my chair. My only real positive comment is that it is very sturdy.
